Strong Practices for Teaching Soft Skills
This event was most recently held July 21st – 23rd, 2010 at the Rainbow Lodge in North Bend, WA. This faculty lead training focused on a particular teaching methodology (Tell-Show-Do-Feedback) using “soft skills” as the vehicle for learning. Soft skills (or lack thereof) are frequently cited by employer groups and advisory boards as one of their highest concerns. Professional technical education programs prepare students for the workplace and often list soft skills development as a core outcome. Effective teaching thereby becomes essential to student success.
Next offering: Summer 2011
