Boot Camp Instructor Training

A "Train the Trainer" course, designed to train a new cadre of instructors for our popular Boot Camp for Professional Technical Instructors program, will be held at the Kent Campus of Green River College March 25 - 27, 2015.

Applications are currently being accepted in order to be considered for participation in the Train the Trainer program. A link to the application can be found below. The application submission deadline has been extended until March 10, 2015. The "Best of the Best" Community and Technical College instructors are sought from a variety of disciplines and geographical locations throughout Washington State.

 The Boot Camp for Professional Technical Instructors program is held four - five times per year at various Community and Technical College locations throughout Washington State. Its goal is to assist in developing new Community and Technical College instructors as they transition into their position.

Individuals selected as future Boot Camp for Professional Technical Educators instructors will be required to attend the March 25 - 27, 2015 training session as well as complete a week-long Boot Camp for Professional Technical Instructors "student teaching" experience in Summer Quarter 2015 (dates and locations still to be determined).  Once training has been completed, Boot Camp instructors are asked to commit to the teaching of at least one team-taught Boot Camp course each calendar year.
