National Association for Community College Teacher Education Programs – an organization to promote the community college role in the recruitment, preparation, retention, and renewal of diverse preK-12 teachers and to advance quality teacher education programs in the community college 

National Center for Education Information -  source of information about alternative preparation and certification of teachers and school administrators

Education in Washington State  

OSPI Endorsement Competencies - a link to the Washington State Office of Public Instruction’s (OSPI) Professional Education page that lists all the endorsement competencies endorsed by the State Board for Education.

Partnership for Learning - partnership for Learning is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping teachers and schools give our children the education and the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.

TeachWashington.org - comprehensive information on teacher preparation in Washington State. The site is searchable by desired endorsement, location, and level of certification (BA, MA, certification only)

WEST-B - the WEST-B (Washington Educators Basic Skills Test) is now required for all students transferring into any teacher preparation program in Washington State. Students need to register in advance to take the test and must take the exam in order to be admitted to a teacher preparation program.

WaTeach.com - "a one-stop information and referral recruitment center for individuals who may be interested in a teaching career."

Washington Education Association - the state's largest public employee union, and the main professional union for Washington's public school employees.

Washington State Department of Early Learning - Washington is now among the few states to have a Department of Early Learning to help young children harness their potential even before entering kindergarten.
